Positioned between transactional finance operations and financial analysis, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your expertise while contributing to a fast paced, luxury hospitality environment. - Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider team, you’ll support month-end processes, including journal preparation, reconciliations, and maintaining key accounting schedules. You will also contribute to financial reporting through variance analysis and assist with forecasting, helping to deliver accurate and insightful information across departments. - You’ll also work with operational teams to resolve queries, support billing and payroll checks, and help strengthen financial controls and processes. - If you’re detail-oriented, proactive and eager to grow within a dynamic hospitality environment, this could be the perfect next step in your career. - Your responsibilities will include: - Prepare and post routine journals in line with month-end close timetable - Complete first-level balance sheet reconciliations, with supporting documentation - Maintain and update accounting schedules (accruals, prepayments, payroll-related) - Support the completion of month-end close (WD1-WD5) activities - Assist in preparation of audit evidence packs and documentation (PBC support) - Prepare standard variance analysis reports to support financial reporting - Support monthly and periodic forecast processes through data collation and template updates - Assist in preparation of departmental performance information - Support payroll pre-check processes and data validation - Assist in preparing labour reporting (standards vs actuals) - Assist in reducing manual and duplicate work through standardisation and better use of systems - Contribute to maintaining a structured and well-documented finance environment - To be successful in this role you will have the following qualities and experience: - Experience in a finance or accounting role (hotel or hospitality preferred, but not essential) - Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (journals, reconciliations, month-end) - High attention to detail and strong organisational skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines - Strong Excel skills - Structured and methodical approach to work - Proactive and willing to take ownership of defined areas - Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-finance colleagues - Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment with competing priorities - Studying or qualified AAT (or equivalent) - Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and/or financial systems - Exposure to month-end close processes - Experience working with operational stakeholders **- Hours** - Full time, 40 hours per week over 5 days **- Salary** - Up to £33,000 per annum **- Why You’ll Love Working With Us** - Dine On Us - Enjoy free meals and refre
